# Troubleshooting the Sonos 27.1 Update
Most Sonos 27.1 "problems" turn out to be rollout timing or a stuck store cache — not real bugs. Work through these before assuming something is broken.
## The update isn't showing up
This is the most common report, and the answer is almost always patience: Sonos 27.1 is rolling out in waves, and it started around October 6–7, 2026. If it's been more than a couple of days, try these in order:
1. Open your app store and manually refresh the updates list (pull down on iPhone; tap your profile → Manage apps & device on Android).
2. Restart your phone — this clears more stuck update states than you'd expect.
3. Check you have enough free storage for the download.
4. Make sure you're signed into the right store account and region.

## The app updated but the queue still disappears
First, confirm you're actually on 27.1: check the version in the Sonos app under Settings → About. If the store updated you to an older cached build, the fix won't be there. If you're on 27.1 and the queue still wipes on radio/TV switches, note exactly what you did — which input you switched from and to — because that's useful detail for a support report.
## The volume knob gesture isn't working (Android)
Make sure the app actually updated to 27.1 — the two-finger twist is new to Android in this release. Try it on the Now Playing screen. If the slider still responds but the twist doesn't, restart the app.
## The app feels slow or crashes after updating
Give it one restart of the phone first. If problems persist beyond a day, check the [Sonos status page](https://status.sonos.com/) for any ongoing service issues, and search the [official community forum](https://en.community.sonos.com/) — if others report the same thing, it's a real bug worth reporting to Sonos.
## Still stuck? Get official help
This is an independent guide, not Sonos support. For account issues, hardware faults, or anything we haven't covered:
- [Sonos Support](https://support.sonos.com/) — official help articles and contact options
- [Sonos Community](https://en.community.sonos.com/) — staff and experienced users answer questions
- [Sonos Status](https://status.sonos.com/) — check for ongoing outages before troubleshooting further
When asking for help anywhere, include your app version, phone model and OS version, and which Sonos products you own — it saves several rounds of back-and-forth.
